Giving Back

Strathberry is a family-run business and fundamentally believes in the values of kindness to others and supporting those in need as best we can.

With this in mind, we have updated our charity beneficiaries to include:

Polish Humanitarian Action

The Red Cross: Ukraine Appeal

UNHCR: Ukraine Appeal

Save the Children: Ukraine Appeal

Women for Women International

Women for Women International supports women who live in some of the world’s most dangerous places. Since 1993, the charity has helped over half a million marginalised women survivors of war. Women enrol on the charity’s year-long training programme, where they learn how to earn and save money, improve their family’s health and make their voices heard at home and in their community. They pass on their knowledge to their neighbours and children, creating a ripple effect of change.

Strathberry are proud to be corporate sponsors to this amazing charity. In addition to championing their fundraising campaigns throughout the year, we have taken part in Giving Tuesday two years in a row, committing 10% of our sales for the day towards their efforts to help women survivors of war rebuild their lives. We are also proud to sponsor our two sisters, Blessing and Asabeh from Nigeria, and support their enrolment in Women for Women International’s year-long programme, where they’ll learn how to earn and save money, improve their health and wellbeing and make their voices heard.

Covid 19 Relief

Now more than ever, we need to look out for each other. In the first weeks of lockdown, we immediately committed to several charitable contributions, mainly focussed around our local communities in Edinburgh. We started with weekly donations made to Age Scotland, helping to tackle loneliness among older people during these times of self-isolation.

We donated to Social Bite, a charitable café initiative with a branch just around the corner from Strathberry HQ, who swiftly worked to repurpose their entire business to supply 3000 food, hygiene and basic medicine supply packs every single day to people in need all over Scotland.  We donated supplies in support of the Grassmarket Community Project,  Steps to Hope and Rock Trust - all charities working with the homeless within Edinburgh.

In addition to the above, we ran a sale committing 10% of all our sales to causes related to COVID-19. With your generous help, we were able to send significant donations to all of the eight charities listed below. We are proud to support each and every one of them: all doing vital work at this difficult time. We’d encourage you to look into their works too and thank you so very much for helping us to make this contribution.

In addition to the above charity partnerships, Strathberry has supported a number of local charities throughout the years, including:
