Spend 48 Hours in Edinburgh with Strathberry

To celebrate the opening of our new Atelier space, nestled in our Edinburgh Townhouse, we hosted six inspirational women in our home city of Edinburgh, who each embody the spirit of Strathberry through their work and cultural influence.  

The trip paid homage to the city we call home, and to the artisanal crafts that Strathberry is built upon. 

The trip celebrated our Scottish roots and craftsmanship; blending tradition and craft, celebrating our beautiful surroundings and how they inspire the brand.  

The first evening, guests were welcomed to the Scottish capital with a dinner hosted at Gleneagles Townhouse:

@rosielai Rosie enjoys the sunset amongst Edinburgh’s Georgian architecture with her Mosaic Nano in Vanilla.

Rosie is GLAMOUR’s Acting Fashion Editor, overseeing fashion editorial content for the publication.She is the former Fashion Director at Tatler Asia and contributing editor of Marie Claire and the Financial Times.

Claire is a trend forecaster, stylist, content creator and CEO and founder of her own fashion brand.

The following day, Manon, our head Leather Artisan led leather craft demonstrations for our guests, showing how she uses time-honoured techniques and historic leather working tools still used to this day, including the Pattacabra.

Yomi is a British journalist and author, she has written for the likes of The Guardian and the Independent. In 2013 she founded ‘Birthday Magazine’ a publication that discusses race, pop culture and feminism. 

@tablescapeluvr learning the craft of tying our silk scarfs on the Mosaic Top Handle oat. 

Samantha is a professional tablescaper and owner of a healthy cookie business ‘Sam’s Healthy Cookies’. 

Guests enjoyed a wonderful lunch with panoramic views of the Edinburgh skyline, sat atop Calton Hill; highlighting the architecture that inspires the silhouettes of our Strathberry bags. Calton Hill is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is home to a collection of the most important monuments in Edinburgh.

Patricia is a professional ballet dancer, choreographer and model based in both London and LA.   

The day ended with an intimate candle-lit dinner in our Atelier with one of Scotland’s top Michelin star chefs, where the theme of craft continued with delicious artisanal food and wonderfully inspiring conversation.
